What are transversal skills?
These are abilities that are important in working life and common to most jobs. Increasing such skills makes it easier for people to participate in the labour market and promotes the desired professional development.
How are these skills assessed?
Measurable criteria have been defined based on 11 different skill factors. The assessment is carried out at lifelong learning centers under the guidance of the Education and Training Service Centre.
For whom?
The importance of transversal skills is evident from the fact that most people change jobs several times in their lives. Such skills are useful regardless of time and place and are increasingly desirable in the labour market.
How is the assessment carried out?
Participants work both alone and together under guidance in groups to complete detailed assessment lists. After the lists have been processed, the results are processed in conversation with career counsellors and evaluators.

It has become clear that the process can be very empowering. People realize their own strengths, even apply for jobs they didn’t have the confidence to apply for before, get a job or enrol in study programs.
